Isn't Rape an Exception?

Rape is Evil!

I begin this post with a statement that everyone most likely agrees with.

Rape is a heinous crime!  My blood boils with anger when I hear accounts of such wicked things.  I would defend any girl from such a crime, even to the point of dying myself in order to rescue her.

Why is it wrong?  Because of what it is.

Rape is a violent act of aggression upon a more vulnerable party, a horrific violation of a fellow human.

But if, when the atrocity is committed a baby is conceived, what should be done?

"In such a circumstance, is it excusable for the woman to procure an abortion?"

Sadly, most people would agree that the answer is yes.

In fact, if I were to talk with 20 random people about abortion, I am almost certain to hear rape brought into the discussion more than once.  The "Rape Card" is most often pulled to reason for abortion in any argument--and not just when discussing abortion with pro-aborts!

This is true even among those who call themselves "pro-life" or work within the Pro-Life movement!  Unsure of how to answer this question with confidence they most often come up with the wrong conclusion.

And it is the same response--one that leans toward abortion being "okay" or even justified if the women has been raped--from well meaning Christians.

And consider that hundreds of thousands, if not millions of pro-lifers vote for, fund, and support organizations, candidates, and bills that utilize that exception.  The air is thick with emotional appeals, political rhetoric, and compromising platitudes.

So, what about abortion in the case of rape?

Does rape justify the termination of a pregnancy?

There is a definite answer.

NO!

Let's just insert the word murder in the place of the word termination and ask that question again:

Does rape justify the murder of your child?

The reason most pro-life Christians are confused or downright adamant in regards to this exception only shows that they are forming their moral opinions based on feelings and not on a Biblical foundation!  This is the sad and horrifying reality among much of the Church today in regards to so many evils that permeate our land!

Every human life begins at the point of conception.

ABORTION IS MURDER.

God says, "Thou shalt not murder!"

That should pretty much be the end of this discussion!  Every other sub-point (and every emotion that encompass the crime of rape) must submit fully to this truth!  But for the sake of those who truly desire to do that which is right and are eager to come and reason together, let's go ahead and take a look at some of the common reasons and/or assumptions that surround this topic and why it is never right to murder, or allow for the murder, of any person--born or preborn!

Abortion will solve the problem of a raped conceived child!

First off, a mother who has been raped is not a problem, and the child that has been conceived is not a problem!  Society may classify this as true, but our society propagates lies! The mother is a victim, and her child has been given to her as a gift (Psalm 127:3, Genesis 20:180; 29:310; 30:2,22, Ruth 4;13).  That is what God says. And we must trust Him fully!

Every child conceived is a precious purposed person--even when his or her conception is in the circumstance of sin, such as fornication, adultery, or rape.  Not only is the baby not the problem, the baby is the only good that can result from the horrific crime. To terminate a rape conceived pregnancy in order to "get rid" of any shame or trauma surrounding the event only promotes more twisted thinking and adds sin to sin--sin upon sin!  The victim (the mother) then becomes the perpetrator and the blessing (the child) becomes the victim!

And when does murder ever solve a real problem?  If a crime was committed, committing another crime will not help!

Rape is a violent act of aggression upon a more vulnerable party, a horrific violation of a fellow human.

Abortion is a violent act of aggression upon a more vulnerable party, a horrible violation of a fellow human being.

Abortion is evil for the same reason that rape is evil.  But there are definite ways that they are different.  One difference is that the act of abortion violates with finality.

If someone is raped and then murdered, their murder is a further crime beyond being raped.  If the victim is not murdered, then there is an opportunity for recovery and healing--a chance to overcome the traumatic incident and the possibility to see justice done for the violence put upon them.

However, when a child is aborted, the crime is murder. Period! There is no recovery--no chance for the victim to overcome any obstacles surrounding his/her conception, birth, or upbringing and no possibility to see justice done for the violence put upon them!

And why punish the precious, innocent child for the crime of his/her father?  It is only fitting that the baby should be protected under the law.  Let that baby live!  If a woman has conceived while being raped, find the rapist and punish him.  He is the one who committed the vile and violent crime.  It is only fitting that he should be held responsible and receive the full penalty.

But the baby will only be a horrible reminder of the rape!

There is a huge load of emotions being carried around in regards to a rape conceived child! There is a certain agenda being pushed in our society and it is selfish to the core!

A woman who has been taken advantage of--who has had to endure the crime of rape--will likely never be the same again!  Although she has the opportunity to heal and may find true healing, she very likely will carry memories and/or negative feelings about what happened to her for the rest of her life!

Instead of offering true help that can bring about true healing our culture tells her that she shouldn't have to raise a child that will be a constant reminder of that wicked act!

She is told that she has the right to end her pregnancy (that she SHOULD end her pregnancy) to keep all those horrible feelings at bay.  She is told that keeping the child is punishing herself and letting her rapist win!

These are lies from the pit of hell and will only serve to keep her bound in her pain.

What I am not saying is that keeping her baby will negate her pain--what I am saying is that abortion will most definitely hinder a healthy healing from her pain!

If a woman who has been raped chooses to have an abortion, she goes from being a victim to becoming a villain.  It makes her guilty of murder.  Abortion doesn't stop a mother from being a mother.  It just makes her the mother of a murdered baby; a baby that she paid to have slain. She hasn't just "ended" her pregnancy--she has participated in the crime of abusing that child to death! This guilt on her part will just add to her trauma, depression, etc.

She may choose to snuff out the memory by having an abortion--she may drink the memories away or become increasingly immoral to distract her mind and/or harden her heart from both the rape and the abortion!  Or she may walk forward in a false and arrogant freedom--feeling as if she has found her true self and did the only "responsible" thing to do!  But she is guilty all the same!  (Consider how many convicted murderers there are in prison right now who feel no remorse or any guilt regarding the crime they committed!) Ignoring the symptoms of sin, and the consequences that that sin will bring, is not the absence of those things!  It is just a game of denial played with the devil that will produce a crop of judgement in this life or the life to come!

Contrariwise, I know a number of women who have suffered rape and conceived a child during the crime! Those who carry there baby must still deal with the horrendous memories and the pain, but they have not become guilty of a crime themselves!

The road to healing can be made much easier when someone responds rightly to evil done to them.  Every mother I know who has kept her child in that circumstance talks about the comfort and healing that child has brought to her.

What a sad reality--what a truly horrible reality--that Christians, who are given the direct command to visit the fatherless and widows in their distress, are so often either supporting legislation that allows for exceptions in cases of rape or forming their own moral opinions (out of a false compassion for the mother) that murder in the case of rape is acceptable!  That is not visiting the fatherless, that is abandoning the orphan in great need!  Wickedness! This is doing the exact opposite of what we are commanded in Scripture!  This is not loving the least of these!  This has made the Church powerless to righteously effect our evil culture!  It is most definitely NOT bringing the culture (and all those individuals who sit in darkness and need the Light of life) into conflict with the gospel of Jesus Christ, the only true Healer!  It is following a multitude to do evil!

We need to cut through the confusion with the clarity of Truth.  It is THE TRUTH that sets us free!

Ezekiel 18:20 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."

It is wrong to allow the murder of a child for the crime of their father.  This should be clear to everyone. To do the opposite of letting the child L I V E is to do E V I L!

So let's "cease to do evil". Let's "learn to do well".

Abortion must be abolished.  No Exception!

KC Double Homicide and Hypocrisy

This year, right in my hometown (Kansas City, Kansas), a pregnant woman was killed by another woman!

The crime took place just blocks from where I grew up! Jocelyn Ybarra (23) and her unborn child (12 weeks) were slaughtered on North 41st Terrace (near Parallel Parkway and Highway 635) on Saturday, June 2nd. And on August 9th, Wyandotte County prosecutors charged Alora Mendoza (26), with TWO COUNTS of first degree murder, and one count of aggravated robbery.

Last month, on November 9th, 2018, Mendoza plead guilty to two counts of second degree murder, taking a plea bargain.

This reckless murder of a woman and her tiny baby is a travesty indeed! It is yet another horrific consequence that abounds in a culture of death--a society that parades its sin and takes pleasure in the shedding of innocent blood!

We pray for the Lord to work in the hearts of all the families impacted by this incident, and especially for the salvation of Alora though repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

But what I want to focus your attention on in this post is the hypocrisy this story brings to light!

The hypocrisy in the Media:

Notice the bold headline as the Kansas City Star reports on this tragedy--"Murder charges filed in killing of pregnant KCK woman and her unborn child."

Tony Rizzo, writer for the acclaimed Star, just recognized, acknowledged, and set apart Jocelyn's 12 week fetus as a separate individual!  Alora was charged with not just one murder, but two!  When she participated in the taking of one life, she most decidedly took the life of another as well!

The thing is, that the Kansas City Star for years has been and is still a voice and champion for abortion.  They ripped into Phil Kline when he sought to investigate abortionists like George Tiller, they bemoan the closing of abortion mills, and constantly treat the murder of the preborn as simply a woman's right to be protected.

And they call the second victim in this case, "her unborn child"?

You can't have it both ways!  You can't call it a baby when you want it and a fetus when you don't!  You can't make an appointment with an OB when a baby fits into your plans and the abortion mill when a baby doesn't!  What madness!  It takes hypocrisy to a whole new level!

And the same goes for the journalists and news companies!  You can't write in sympathy for a victim and/or use your words to place moral judgement on someone's actions when covering a major story just because the victim was wanted and then publicly advocate for the mass murder of those same victims when they are not wanted!  Well, you can, but it is ludicrous!

And that is exactly what the Kansas City Star has done!

But it is not just the media whose inconsistency is glaring.  Consider the justice system:

The hypocrisy in the Justice System:

Some 38 states have fetal homicide laws, including the state of Kansas.

In Kansas they charged Mendoza with a double homicide--the killing of a mother and her child.  Two murders, because there were two humans slain.

But if Jocelyn Ybarra had walked into Planned Parenthood with that same baby at the exact same gestational age, and hired Ronald Yeomans or Orrin Moore (KC Area abortionists) to crush the baby to death, there would have been no murder charge.

Why?  Because abortion has been made legal in this Nation by color of law!  The justice system has been wickedly perverted.

There is only one little word that makes the difference in these two scenarios and that is the word wanted.  In my State, as in many other States, a child is only considered worthy of value to be protected or to seek justice for, if they are wanted!

But does wantedness determine humanity?

If being wanted is what really makes you human (and this is what the justice system has arbitrarily set) then you can not blame Hitler for killing the Jews!  Hitler did not want the Jews.

Of course the Jews were people--but they were conveniently ruled to be "not fully human" by a justice system that wanted to do wrong.  And everyone knows that that what was done to them was evil.

Every person is created in the image of God.  And that starts at the moment of conception.  We must raise our voices and demand equal protection from murder for ALL humans!

Humans are human, whether you want them alive or not.

Human beings do not become less human when you want them dead.

The mother's womb should never become the ghetto and gas chamber for the holocaust of the least among us.

Hypocrisy is rife:

In our press,
in our courts,
in our streets,

and in our hearts?

We as a society NEED to repent!

Abortion MUST be abolished.

When Abortion Does NOT Stop a Beating Heart

"Abortion stops a beating heart."

This slogan has been used by the Pro-life Movement for years.

It is short and memorable.

It pulls at our emotions.

The problem is, it is not always true.

Millions of babies have been murdered (and thousands of babies will be murdered today) before their heart was fully developed or before the beat of their heart could be fully detected.

God's word declares that when a woman has "conceived" (Isaiah 7:14), she is "with child" (Matthew 1:23). Scripture is absolutely clear as to when a new and distinct human being is created and it has nothing to do with the development of a specific organ, but at the moment of conception!   If this is true, dear reader, if every child from the point of conception is fully human, then to seek protection for only those babies who are able perform for a ultra sound technician (even if your goal is to protect them all in the end) is evil!  It is a wicked thing to abandon under color of law one image bearer of God to protect another image bearer of God whether for political advancement or to make abortion seem unthinkable to the world!

And just as we should expect, science and medicine have been found to agree with the Lord of heaven and earth, the Creator of our Universe, without Whom there is no foundation for the existence, study, or reliability of science.

Dr. Jerome LeJeune (geneticist, doctor, called by many the "father of modern genetics") stated that: "After fertilization has taken place a new human being has come into being.  It is no longer a matter of taste or opinion...It is plain experimental evidence."

In Dr. LeJeune own words, the evidence is plainweeks before the heartbeat can be detected a new life has begun.  At the exact moment of conception that fertilized egg, that zygote, is distinctly a humanwith his or her own DNA, blood type, and personality!  This tiny individual is the same person he or she will be for the rest of their lives.

And millions of these precious image bearers are murdered at this most important and vulnerable time of their lives (before 6 weeks) under "color of a law" that is not only applauded and embraced by a Godless nation, but sadly also supported by many who claim to be pro-life!

God forbid.

One of the pragmatic "answers" to the "abortion problem" (and how to incrementally reverse the Supreme Court's ruling of Roe v Wade) is heartbeat legislation.  Both Iowa and Ohio have passed bills that would ban abortion once a heartbeat is detected (though the courts struck one down, and the other needs to pass the Senate and be signed by the governor).   Other states have pushed for this same legislation for years and/or are presently seeking to pass a similar bill.

Millions of pro-lifers, including multitudes of Christians, read of these types of pro-life victories (and the rhetoric "we are winning!" that accompanies such victories) and they rejoicenot realizing all the ramifications.  As believers we must think critically, and we must think Biblically!  To continue to support unrighteous decrees like a heartbeat bill or to vote for those who compromise and collaborate with the lives of these tiny holocaust victims is opposing evil with what God calls evil!

Arbitrary

1. The Heartbeat Bill is moved by personal whim rather than truth.

We know (Biblically, scientifically, and medically) that a human's life begins at conception.  To say "we will protect all persons from murder once their heart beat is detectable" is just as subjectively arbitrary as saying "we will protect all persons from murder once they come out of their mother's womb" or "once they pass puberty", or "once they are old enough to vote."

If our desire is to applaud protection, then we should really celebrate Roe v. Wade! Aren't all born humans protected in that Supreme Court ruling?!  Fighting arbitrariness in an arbitrary way is ridiculous.

Exceptions

2. You can kill a baby after the heartbeat if...

The word exception has been entertained far too long in the Pro-life Movement and has been used to justify the murder of a multitude of children in the wombit is a word that leads to a wicked and perverse line of thinking!

Almost every single pro-life heartbeat bill (any pro-life bill for that matter) has the exception of rape, incest, fetal abnormality, and/or life of the mother written in!  And just like that, even the babies the Heartbeat bill claims to protect, are not safe!

There is no exception that produces a good enough reason to murder an innocent person.  The awful truth is that nearly all pro-life politicians also make exceptions for murder.

Exceptions are just one of the enemy's tools to keep this horrific evil alive and well in our land!  Of course, proving you were raped is not necessary in order to schedule an abortion past this magical 6 week's mark!  All you need is a woman's own word reported to authorities or a physicians orders claiming a pregnancy could endanger the woman's life and, heartbeat or no heartbeat, the baby will still be brutally slain!

And even if the rape did exist and a child was conceived, how wicked for the Pro-life Movement to value the criminal's life over the life of the baby by writing in such an exception!  Why punish the child for his/her father's crime?

At one point, the Iowa heartbeat bill only allowed for a "medical emergency" which was defined as a situation in which the life of the woman was in danger.  Then Republicans, the pro-life politicians, amended the bill to expand the exceptions to also include a situation in which:

—the mother was raped and reports the rape to law enforcement within 45 days

—the mother was the victim of incest and reports the issue to law enforcement within 140 days

—"not all the products of conception are expelled" following a miscarriage (which makes no sense to even include this exception
—and only muddies the waters even more)

—a physician certifies that the fetus has an abnormality, that, in the physician's "reasonable medical judgment," the child is incompatible with life

Penalties and Prosecution

3. Heartbeat legislation does not allow for proper prosecution of those who kill the baby or for those who would hire the assassin!

This is folly!

The Ohio heartbeat bill, last I heard, had no exceptions after the heartbeat is detected, but the penalty for physicians who would preform an abortion after this arbitrary time is only a year of prison.

And parents, those who procure an abortion and are protagonists in the crime, are not to be prosecuted.  If someone instigates a murder by seeking out and paying a hit man to slay an innocent person, they are also guilty.  The idea of letting the one who buys the hit "off the hook" would not be countenanced anywhere else in the justice system BUT in the case of abortion.  Sadly, it is the fruit of the pro-life practice of making women out to be the victim in these situations.  A mother may or may not have been a victim in a crime (rape or incest), but in the crime of abortion, the victim is the child.  This is inequity.

And in the case where the mother is truly a victim of a forced abortion (abusive father or being trafficked) then prosecution would be in her favor, not against her!

Undermining Message to the Public

4. It undermines what we profess to believe and establishes a wrong standard.

The catchy slogan may be,

"If a heartbeat is detected, the baby is protected."

Yet we know that a human's life begins when they are conceived, weeks before the heartbeat can be seen on an ultra sound.

To boldly say all life begins at conception and yet allow for the murder of a pre-born before he/she is 6 weeks old, unwittingly exposes you as inconsistent and hypocritical.

What is that behavior telling the world?

One secular source gives the following commentary:

"A fetal heartbeat bill is a form of proposed abortion legislation in the United States of America which makes abortions illegal as soon as the fetus' heartbeat can be detected, based on the conclusion that a fetus is a person as soon as it has a heartbeat."

This bill misinforms the public.  I have heard it from the lips of aborting parents as they walk into an abortion clinic and flippantly call out: "It's okay, my baby doesn't have a heartbeat yet."  They have been made to think that before the heart is beating it is allowable.  What gave them that idea?  The excellent education of the Pro-life Movement's promotion and politics.

Smokescreen

5. There are three things that the Heartbeat bill does accomplish.

A. Gives the pro-life organizations something to cheer about and garner support for more like actions.

B. Gives the pro-life government leaders a 100% pro-life voting record and future votes.

C. Gives the pro-life people the illusion that the fight is being won and keeps them content to continue giving and voting for the same nonsense that has gotten us nowhere.

Pro-life legislation is a smokescreen, distracting from the fact that politicians are not doing their duty.  They have the authority and obligation to establish equity for those under their jurisdiction by law, to punish evildoers, and to protect the innocent. All of the innocent!

"Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place" (Jeremiah 22:3).

Heartbeat legislation does not accomplish man's duty before God and his fellow man, but it does make it look like that he is doing something.

There is another bill being put forth in Ohio AT THE SAME TIME that the heartbeat bill  has received so much attention and praise—this bill would abolish all abortion as murder, doing justice and establishing equal protection to all pre-born babies in the state of Ohio!  Sadly, this bill is being squelched and suppressed by the very people who are lauding the heartbeat bill.

NOW, I hasten to say that there is no doubt in my mind that many legislators, many workers in pro-life organizations, many supporters of this ban truly believe they are doing right.  They have been taught to do it this way and are pragmatically pushing forward!  But they have not examined this endeavor in the light of Truthit is still wrong to do wrong! We all must be confronted with the error.  We all need to hear the truthwe must be exposed to the horror of this failure, search the Scriptures, consider our ways, and then repent.

Pushing for legislation that actually provides for babies to be lawfully killed at a younger gestational age (in hopes to save some) is not humbly confessing our sin, or turning to God in repentance, or seeking mercy for ourselves and healing for our land.  "Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?" (Psalm 94:20).

Should we expect God to bless us while we continue to cast His law behind our backs?  Let us humble ourselves, and pray, and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways, including the way of perverting the justice of the most innocent and most vulnerable in our landthe preborn.

In obedience to God's word we must do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.  Opposing injustice unjustly is not just.  We need to be shown where we're wrong and how to oppose this evil in the right way.

We need to recognize that in spite of our pro-life stickers and high sounding religious slogans, political zeal, and prayers to God to bless our efforts our hands are "full of blood".  We need to hearken to the LORD: "Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil, Learn to do well: seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow..." (Isaiah 1).

We need to forsake the foolish and live!  Let us exhort each other and our leaders to be true champions of the weakest among us!  Pro-life congressmen and senators are putting forth bills that they are told "the people" are demanding.  Let them hear the demand for total and immediate abolition of abortion!

I know many will say, "Oh, you are just not happy because it isn't doing enough."

That is not the issue.  It is not about doing enough.  It is about doing what is RIGHT.

Others will make a plea towards pragmatism.  But, we need to choose to be found obedient to our King Jesus.

"Duty is ours.  Results are God's."

Why should God bless wicked measures and iniquitous decrees?  Let us trust the Lord, for God's work done God's way will work.

Abortion must be abolished.  No exceptions!

Who's the Hypocrite?

A statement from Planned Parenthood, concerning DACA:

      Image may contain: 1 person

"EVERY PERSON HAS THE RIGHT TO LIVE."

From an organization which murders over 300,000 girls and boys in the womb yearly.

Their hypocrisy is showing.

The truth is, they celebrate the right to live (of course, only if they want you to live) and they applaud and make their money on unrighteous decrees that allow some humans to be murdered.

But tragically, that can also be said of those who rightfully call Planned Parenthood "hypocrites"!

For in regard to pain capable abortion ban bills and heartbeat legislation, the Pro Life Movement is also showing partiality.

Has the Pro Life movement also become hypocrites?  Claiming that babies in the womb are human beings from conception with a right to life all the while supporting and cheering on bills that only protect babies that have survived to one arbitrary point or another is actually abandoning those precious little image bearers that are younger and less developed!  That is a double standard!  God forbid!

And if there is hypocrisy on our part, we must repent!

James 2:8-9 "If ye fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, Thous shall love they neighbor as thyself, ye do well.  But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors."

I Timothy 5:21 "I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality."

James 3:17 "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."

We must humbly consider the question: "Are ye not then partial in yourselves?" (James 2:4).

If the Pro Life Movement truly desires to love their preborn neighbor then they must take an upright stand for them with no compromiseswe are not to oppose evil in way that God calls evil.  It is the love of Christ that constrains me to point out this wrong-doing among those who claim to fight for the babies!

To protect some and not all is hypocritical!

Christians should not be Human Rights Hypocrites.

Let us consider our ways, and establish equal protection under the law for ALL humans.

Be an Abolitionist.

Abortion must be abolished.
