"Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in His sight" (I Chronicles 19:13).

Instead of "Being at Ease", Let us Consider the E's

"Woe to them that are at EASE...!" (Amos 6:1a).

Multitudes of Christians are not standing up or speaking out against the evil of child sacrifice (murder by abortion), because we have been AT EASE too long.  We have been content to have an opinion against abortion, but not necessarily any obedience to Christ in righteous action to oppose the evil.

Millions of people today are murdering their children because they serve the god of Convenience.  Millions of Christians are not doing what they should in the face of this evil because they serve the same master...Convenience.  It seems much easier to hide their eyes, to stop their ears, to regard not to know it.  Yet, the admonition of Leviticus 20:1-5 should stir us to not be apathetic (being apathetic is a pathetic way to respond to such violence).  These children are the poorest and most needy in our day, and hearken to the words told us in the Proverbs:

Proverbs 21:13 "Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard."

Proverbs 28:27 "He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse."

Proverbs 29:7 "The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it."

With our littlest neighbors in eminent danger under color of law, how can we but act in urgency in response to this emergency?  Rather than remain at ease, we can take actions, which incidentally begin with letter "E's".

I. ENGAGE the culture.  Bring the conversation to the forefront.  We are living in the middle of a Holocaust.  Spread truth about it across the table in the open air, in the public square: in the streets, at schools, outside abortion mills, at church, at public events, in city council meetings, at the state house, and everywhere else in society (Proverbs 1:20-21; Isaiah 59:4; Ephesians 4:15).

II. EXPOSE the evil by showing the violenc1e being done under "color" of law.  Bring it out of the shadows so people can see.  This is our Holocaust, and it needs to be treated like such.  Show the victims, whether on social media, literature, signs, etc.  (Lamentations 3:51; Isaiah 58:1; Ezekiel 22:1-2; Ephesians 5:11).

III. EXPOUND the Biblical view of the child in the womb, of child sacrifice, of the fatherless, of justice, mercy, and equity.  Do this behind pulpits, across dining room tables, in coffee shops, at Sunday school and in Bible studies, on campuses, at street corners, and over the phone (Psalm 139:13-16; Proverbs 22:20-21; Deuteronomy 16:19-20).

IV. EVANGELIZE the lost, hand out Gospel tracts that deal with abortion or leave literature where it can be found, hand out or share videos, declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the abortion mill, share it in letters to your legislators, and others with whom you come in contact.  Bring the Gospel into conflict with the culture of death.  Declare it in the open air.  Preach the word, in season and out of season, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear (Mark 16:15; II Corinthians 5:20; II Timothy 4:2).

V. EDUCATE born neighbors of behalf of the preborn, the Holocaust in which we live, and the righteous response to child sacrifice.  We don't just want to be doing something about abortion.  We want to do the right something.  We do not want to oppose evil only to find out that we were opposing it in a way that God calls evil.  Much of the church has been taught to be ProLife, but not Biblical in this regard.  We want to educate and equip ourselves, and then educate and equip others (Isaiah 1:17; Romans 12:21, I Thessalonians 5:21-22).

VI. EXHORT brothers and sisters in Christ to take action also and obey God, being salt and light in a dark and decaying society.  Provoke one another to love unfeigned and godly zeal.  We must be stirred, not only to know the truth and have a Biblical opinion, but also to live in Biblical obedience.  Our love must be unfeigned and without partiality (Hebrews 10:24; I John 3:18; James 2:8).

VII. ENJOIN the magistrates to establish equal protection under the law for the preborn.  Stand against the ProLife regulation of murder by abortion, and call leaders to do right in seeking legislation to abolish abortion as murder.  Support those who do seek to establish equal justice for all by abolition (Exodus 23:2-3,6-7; Jeremiah 22:3; Jeremiah 5:1).

Don't be found at ease.  Let us be doing these.
Not all of us can do everything, but let NONE of us do nothing!

Abortion must be abolished.
